In order to protect and inherit Kaiping immaterial cultural heritage, Kaiping culture organization has set up special group and started up works on declaration and general investigation of immaterial cultural heritage in last September. In last December, works on declaration and general investigation of four projects, Kaiping folk songs, Kaiping melody of chicken sale, Pancun lantern show and Guanghe preserved bean curd were completed. On assessment meeting of Jiangmen immaterial cultural heritage, these four projects has passed assessment by expert join meeting and was listed in the catalog of the first batch City-level immaterial cultural heritage. And three projects excepting for Kaiping folk songs will continue to be declared Province-level.

Not like independence of cultural relics, immaterial cultural heritage is immaterial; it leads the difficulty of being inherited and being continued. It is important how to inherit and continue it. It is found that, during being declared, three projects shall be supplied practicable five-year protection plans and relevant measures to be protected. Finally, Kaiping Pancun Lantern show has been declared provincial Immaterial Cultural Heritage successfully on May 16, and is being declared country level immaterial cultural heritage by Provincial immaterial cultural heritage protection center.

And it is found that, four Kaiping projects of Jiangmen immaterial cultural heritage will attend to Guangdong Provincial immaterial cultural heritage protection achievements exhibition in Guangzhou City on June 10.
