C. Foodstuffs Industry

In year 2002, Kaiping City had been appraised as the National Strong City for Foodstuff Industry. Five enterprises in this city dealing with foodstuff had been awarded as the National Excellent and Leading Enterprise in Foodstuff Industry, namely, Kaiping Jiashili Group Corp.,

Master Condiments Co., Ltd., Guanghe Bean Curd Co., Ltd., Jiashili Preserved Fruits Co., Ltd. And Rousselot (France) Gelatin Co., Ltd. At the present time, there are 116 foodstuff manufacturers in Kaiping City with an annual output value of RMB 2 billion. Thus, foodstuff production has become a pillar industry of the city.
