Anti-dumping duties imposed on polyester chip imported from S.Korea

MOFTEC announced in its Notice No.3, 2003 that anti-dumping duties will be imposed against polyester chip (poly ethylene terephthalate chip) imported from The Republic of Korea as from Feb.3, 2003. The above-said product is under China Custom Import Tariff No. 39076011 and 39076019. Another product PETG originally produced in The Republic of Korea is not included. MOFTEC formally announced on Aug.3, 2001 to conduct an anti-dumping investigation about the polyester chip (poly ethylene terephthalate chip) originally from The Republic of Korea. And on Oct.29, 2002, MOFTEC announced the preliminary adjudication to imposed temporary anti-dumping duties against the above-said product originally from The Republic of Korea . Based on the investigation and Article 25 of the 《Antidumping Rules of the Peoples Republic of China》, MOFTEC and State Economic and Trade Commission (SETC) made the final adjudication that the product-investigated had made a substantial harm to the domestic industry, and the dumping activity of the product-investigated is the reason of the substantial harm.
