Panther Textile Co., Ltd. is a foreign-invested enterprise. It is located at No. 21, Meihua Road, Xinmei industrial development zone, Shagang. It was founded and put into production in 1986 with original name of Hongfa Garment Factory, original site of factory was No. 186, Shuguang Road, Changsha. The factory was renamed as Hong Yuan Da garment factory in 1992. In 1996, it has been growing up as an enterprise of Panther Textile Co., Ltd, there are three branch factories: Panther weaving factory, Panther garment factory and Panther cotton factory. 84 shuttleless looms are imported from Belgium. Panther covers more than 800,000 square meters with 320, 000 square meters of building-up area. The original value of fixed assets is 20, 087, 000 Yuan, net value is 17, 050, 000 Yuan. There are 1200 employees, 2 medium engineering and technical persons and 32 elementary engineering and technical persons. The equipment includes 84 shuttleless looms and 627 sewing machines. The mainly produce are jeans and jeans wears. Our jeans are supplied to our garment factory and jeans wears are exported to areas of South American. In 1997, the enterprise was awarded as nationwide excellent foreign-invested enterprise. In 1999, our yearly output reached 53,270,000 yarns of jeans (one yarn is equal to 0.9144 meter), 156, 840, 000 pieces of jeans wears. We had 114, 970, 000 Yuan of total value of output, 10, 840, 000 Yuan of taxes, 15, 400, 000 Yuan of profits and USD 8, 490, 000 of export income.
