Kaiping City Held Martyrs Memorial Day Public Sacrifice to Promote the Heroic Spirit

September 30 is the 8th National Martyrs Memorial Day. On that morning, Kaiping City held a public memorial event at the Revolutionary Martyrs Monument in Liangjinshan Park, deeply cherishing the great achievements of revolutionary martyrs and praising the noble spirit of the martyrs.Yu Zhonghua, Chen Xiaoman, Li Baozhen, Lin Guoning, Chen Junkai and other members of the Kaiping City’s four leading groups, heads of garrison troops, various people’s organizations, cadres, students, martyrs, veterans and other people from all walks of life attended the event.

At 8:30 in the morning, the public sacrifice ceremony kicked off with the solemn national anthem. All the staff stood solemnly facing the monument and paid a silent tribute to the martyrs who had sacrificed their lives for the cause of the Chinese people's liberation and the construction of the Republic.The Young Pioneers sang the song "We Are the Successors of Communism" to comfort the martyrs and heroes with loud singing.

Subsequently, Yu Zhonghua, secretary of the Kaiping Municipal Party Committee, stepped forward to arrange ribbons for the flower baskets on behalf of the people of the city.

Remembering the martyrs is to better inspire future generations, and remembering history is to better create the future.The public memorial event further inspired the city's firm belief in inheriting the legacy of the martyrs and carrying forward the heroic tradition, and encouraged them to contribute more wisdom and strength to the high-quality development of Kaiping's economy and society.
