As an important road in Kaiping City, the National Provincial Highway is the main artery of Kaiping City's land transportation.In recent years, with the economic and social development, the number of motor vehicles has been increasing, and the volume of road traffic has increased rapidly. Village intersections connecting national and provincial highways are generally full of vehicles, fast driving, complex road conditions, lack of traffic signs, insufficient visibility of vehicles, etc. The problem has caused frequent traffic accidents and threatened the safety of people’s lives and property.
Since the beginning of this year, the Kaiping Highway Affairs Center has closely integrated the systematic prevention and resolution of road traffic safety risks with the practical activities of "I do practical things for the masses", and has actively completed the construction of the "Ping'an Village Entrance" at the entrances and exits of the village roads along the national and provincial roads. The construction of “one clear, one light and one belt” at the level crossing of the provincial highway and the renovation of the section of the national and provincial highway that passes through the village and the town.
Situ Haitao, Chief Engineer of Kaiping Highway Affairs Center: A total of about 5.98 million yuan was invested in related projects, and 368 "Ping'an Village Entrances" were constructed in accordance with the "six one" standard, that is, a set of deceleration markings and a set of parking concessions were set up at each intersection. Road signs, a group of village warning signs, a group of crossing posts with yellow flashing warning lights, a group of reflective spikes, a good parking sight distance; 35 levels of “one clear, one light, one area” level crossings will be built, that is, clearing and leveling. Green belts that obstruct the view, traffic lights and speed bumps in the crossing area.Kaiping Highway Affairs Center will continue to invest funds to further improve the safety of national and provincial highways, and effectively guarantee the safety of the people.
At present, all 104 intersections of National Highway 325 have been completed, and more than 90% of the intersections of other countries and provinces have been completed, and the remaining parts can be completed before the end of November.After the "Ping'an Village Entrance" and "One Clearing One Light One Belt" project was completed and put into use, drivers and nearby villagers said that the road traffic order has been further improved and travel is more secure.
