Affected by the cold air, light rain fell in the urban area of Kaiping City on the morning of the 23rd.Today is the last day of this round of nucleic acid testing in the grading and stratified area. At the testing point of Cangjiang Fitness Plaza, 65-year-old Zhou Weiqiang is cleaning the water on the ground, collecting and transporting the domestic garbage on the site in time, and guarding the cleaning position of the testing point.

Cangjiang Fitness Plaza is a testing site with a sampling volume of more than tens of thousands of people. Zhou Weiqiang said that compared with the daily cleaning work, the workload of the testing site is 2-3 times more. Everyone is working together for the prevention and control of the epidemic, and the hard work is worth it.

Sanitation worker Zhou Weiqiang: Usually, the trash cans on the road are emptied 2 to 3 times, and the trash cans at the inspection points have to be emptied 8 to 10 times, which is a lot of work. Go to work at 7 a.m. until the end of nucleic acid testing at the testing site. The first day is more than 12 o'clock in the evening, the second day is more than 11 o'clock and 12 o'clock, and then go home after finishing the work. There is no way to work hard, everyone is working hard, everyone works together to do the nucleic acid testing work, it doesn't matter if you work hard.

On the other side of the testing site, Tan Peijun, who has been working in sanitation for 10 years, is also sterilizing public toilets and the surrounding environment to ensure that nucleic acid testing can be carried out smoothly. In the past few days, Tan Peijun has been cleaning and disinfecting the environment of the testing site non-stop since the morning. Every day they are the last "team" to leave the testing site.

Sanitation worker Tan Peijun: The workload has increased in the past two days, because it is necessary to cooperate with the epidemic prevention and control and nucleic acid detection work, and do a good job in sanitation and cleaning. Kill it every half hour. During these two special periods, we need to work overtime. Going to work at 9:30 in the morning, we didn't get off work until the end of the inspection work at the inspection point. It's almost 12 o'clock in the evening to finish the work.

In the past few days, all the staff of the Municipal Environmental Sanitation Department have been fighting in the streets, disinfecting and killing, removing and transporting garbage, building up "orange defense lines" for epidemic prevention and control, and guarding the cleanliness of the city and the health of citizens.

Chen Xiaojun, deputy director of Kaiping Municipal Environmental Sanitation Office: The Municipal Environmental Sanitation Office dispatched more cleaning workers to various inspection points, increased the frequency of collecting and transporting vehicles, and disinfected the surrounding public toilets and trash cans in a timely manner. Every night, after the medical staff leave the field, they will clean up the site and collect and transport garbage in time to ensure the smooth progress of the next day's testing.

From March 21 to 22, the municipal sanitation department dispatched a total of 720 cleaners, 100 electric cleaning vehicles, 6 garbage trucks, 6 sprinklers, and 4 high-pressure washing vehicles. A total of about 25 tons of garbage were cleaned up. Ensure that the general public has a clean, tidy and safe urban environment, and help nucleic acid testing to be completed in an orderly and safe manner.
