As has been proved by practice, promoting Putonghua and introducing standard Chinese character need certain external environment and binding mechanism, in the past few years, our city has been relatively effective in the application and implementation of the evaluation and monitoring system of language and script work, therefore, Section 17 of the“Regulations for Implementation”elevates the two working systems into legal system. Section 17 of the“Regulations for Implementation”stipulates that: language and script working committee of municipal and district/county level should evaluate the language and script of related units within its administrative district, the evaluation results can be made known to the public”,“Language and Script Working Committee pf each level should establish working monitoring network, to monitor the character use of media, public occasions, the monitoring results should be made known to the public.”It can establish a long-term effect management mechanism by regularizing the evaluation and monitoring system in the form of legal provisions.
