Art is a major part of my life, for I have devoted “all my passions to the art”.Whether directly or symbolically and in various forms, I wish to use my brush to show the beauty and purity of nature.
The theme of this exhibition is “The World of Love”, in which I use various aspects of animal life and nature in hope of reminding all of us to take the time to care about our loved ones, our parents, siblings, friends, or even complete strangers and the environment. Much like ourselves, a pair of turtles in their journey of life fall in love and form a family, raise their offspring and watch them grow, and eventually when their offspring leave the nest, are left with the company of one another to enjoy the beautiful sunset. A pair of salmons struggle up a powerful waterfall with all their might, just to find a home for the next generation, shows the sacrifice and power of parental love can be. The polar bear mother shares the joy of snowfall with her cubs, but if we do not protect the environment, this will all disappear. Paintings such as an old man feeding a chipmunk in the park show not only the pure natural beauty of nature but also the importance of protecting it. Moreover, there are many people in the world such as the lonely old man who needs our love and care.
Through this art exhibition, I wish for everyone to slow down their busy everyday life, putting aside their high-tech gadgets for a moment, to appreciate the beauty of nature, and to reflect and contemplate whether they have done enough for those around and the environment. Only by caring and loving more, will the things we cherish not disappear; our world will be a better place full of love and beauty!
